Section Title
Our team of early childhood educators is dedicated to providing a warm and welcoming environment for each and every infant in our care. We understand the importance of taking the time to get to know each child's unique needs and routines, and we do so through careful observation and open communication with families.
Infants are naturally curious explorers who learn by observing, listening, and investigating the world around them. To support their growth and development we build on key concepts throughout our daily schedule. We prioritize each infant schedule to building a safe, stimulating, and caring relationship that foster a sense of belonging for each child.
Key Classroom Concepts
Free Movement
To support the development of babies, it is crucial to create an environment that encourages free movement. This means allowing infants to move naturally and at their own pace, while also promoting activities such as reaching out, rolling, crawling, and cruising. By doing so, babies can develop their core muscles, which is essential for independent mobility. Providing an environment that invites movement and allowing babies to follow their own developmental timetable is key to their growth.
Meal Independence
Our center follows a child-led approach to feeding, where we encourage children to feed themselves from the time they start eating solids. We provide a balanced mix of healthy finger foods and support children to listen to their bodies and eat until they are full. Our educators are always present during mealtimes, sitting with the children and creating a positive and enjoyable mealtime experience.
individualized care
Our approach to diaper changing, feeding, and dressing involves educators being present and communicating respectfully with children. We prioritize creating a relaxed and unhurried atmosphere during these moments, using language development and engaging in conversation with the infant. We believe in explaining every action in a respectful and engaging manner.
